Mr Burroughs.

Whenever I walk into MPH, Borders or even Popular Ikano I see a great deal of money to be spent. Once or twice the thought of stuffing a book under my pits and walking out with it has crossed my mind.

It's been months and I still haven't gotten Augusten Burroughs' Sellevision and Possible Side Effects. I have the rest of his books which I've read at least six times a piece and I feel slightly misplaced not having read the two. It's funny how in order of publication Sellevison and Possible Side Effects are the first and last books of the Burroughs collection. I need, I want!

I bought Running for Scissors twice. The first copy I would like to think, was stolen from right under my nose while I was peeing. The second copy I'd loaned it to my Psychology lecturer in ICM and one day she happily got married and I never saw her or the book ever again. I'd have to buy another copy. This is starting to sound like my black converse shoes story. Except the shoes I wear them out, somehow.

The movie for Running with Scissors came out this year and I'm dying to watch it. Miss Paltrow playing Hope and Rachel evan Wood playing Natalie too, *hm. The trailer didn't really give off that dark sentiment as the book did but it'd still be great to see the book attempt to come to life.

When I first read Running with Scissors three years ago, it was one of those books I couldn't read while eating or snacking. And I always snack and read. Life is complete when I snack and read. The ideal snack of choice would be none other than Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar. Ooh better yet accompanied by Frito-Lay's spicy cheese in a can. I forgot what its called but have that with Ruffles and its perfection! Okay I'm drooling over the keyboard.

Anyway when I was on the second chapter, I put down my bag of chips and swallowed what was in my mouth fighting the urge to spit it back into the bag.

That twitch.

That leads to shallow breathing.

That leads to heaving breathing.

That leads to cracked fingers.

That leads to a lump in the throat.

That leads to glassy eyes.

That leads to a thumping ribcage.

That leads to a sinking heart.

That leads to a heavy spirit.

That leads to nothing.

Nothing left to say but goodbye. (Air Supply)

Best read if Hokkien.

Haha found another funny post, this time to do with my dad on Joyce's blog.

Daddy got the hang of smsing earlier this year.

It's a damn chun option because when he first started, he replies everything with "ok".

"Daddy can I buy this thing I really need? Later you pay me back okay?"
"Ok."

"Daddy I'm so so so sorry I'm going to be late love you I'll be home before 12 okay?"
"Ok."

"Daddy I got a bit of headache I'm going to skip class and rest for a while later I come home you write letter for me, okay?"
"Ok."

Eh. I damn like la.
Except now he types longer messages.
Today he messaged me.
"Are you having dinner on your own?"
"Ya." because like, it's short and sweet ma right.

"Ya is coconut in hokkien and it is 2.00 dollars each. See I learnt something from your mother."

My father, my father.

Home Alone.

Ma called first in the morning. "I'm at the airport! Bye! Daddy and Joyce are not going on their trips so go home and entertain them."
I was planning to anyway so I got up and packed my things.

Then Joyce and my dad took turns calling me. After lunch I rushed home only to find..that both cars were out and that no one was home. It's 5pm now and no one's home yet. I called my dad to tell him I'm hungry, cause that would usually make him rush home to take any one of his daugheters out to eat. This time he said "Uhh..I'll order and have korean chicken sent to home okay." :(

By the way, 'korean chicken' is Han Chon Chicken. If you like spicy food, go look for this Han Chon Chicken in Hartamas. They had anoher stall in Asia Cafe but it didn't last very long. Actually its more of a delivery thing. At first they only delivered to Hartamas and Mont Kiara. I first had it in Rachel's dad's house. But then one day, Rachel brought it over to my house and thennn.. my dad became buddies with the owner and I became best friends with the delivery guy. So they send to SS2 for us.

It's been half an hour.. I want my chicken!

So..I was bored. So I read my sister's blog. Eh this Joyce quite funny ah. Let me cut and paste. She reads my blog like once in a month so hopefully she doesn't notice this post. Shit sounding like her already, so maany "likes" in my sentence! *dies.

Joyce blogged. A week or two back.

Anyway, the whole family sent miss Stella Oo Hoo Woo Hoo back to cyber today.
"Actually I can get other people to send me one. But I just thought you guys would like to have a nice ride down ma, so long never send me already."
"You look at my face and tell me if I'm having a nice ride la." Daddy answered.
And since Esther wasn't in the car to be annoying..
"Let me see! Let me see the face! Let me see!"
"Ma! Ma! I damn scared, why your daughter like that one."

-.-

I really really have a very bad case of the middle child syndrome lo. Tell you first.

Because che and ma sometimes speak hokkien right, and I feel like, damn left out la, WHAT, so,

"Eh today we ALL speak in hokkien today, okay?"
"HAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAH YOU CAN SPEAK HOKKIEN ONE MEH." this is the woman I call Ma weih!
"Yar. Wa ah kek sim lu anikuan meng wa." which like, means, (because like, everyone that reads my blog is soham and does not know hokkien *flips hair*) 'I am damn sad you ask me like that'
"Ma.......!!"

You tell me if I should unsister her or not.

They are like, so unsupportive of me. My hokkien is actually damn good one, I mean, not trying to be action packtion or anything la, but, actually, really one. You hear also you scared. (not because it's terrible)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't believe how weird Joyce can be sometimes. But I was laughing so hard reading that. Because I was horrified on more than one occasion at how insane she was acting.

I should be so lucky.

I was in the room when Jung called out to me from the front door.

The person at the door could only speak chinese. She said that there was a hypermarket opening soon nearby and she wanted to do a survey. I agreed and answered her questions accordingly. After the survey she gave Jung and I a coupon each and told us it was a discount voucher. It's also some sort of lucky draw so we had to fill in details and tear open the coupon.

Jung got a "Terima Kasih" in hers and when I opened mine the girl looked over, started shaking my hand, congratulating me and speaking really loudly in a Mandrin I suddenly did not understand. Then she had me speak to her boss on the phone to double confirm it. She took out a newspaper clipping told me that this was part of her company's advertising strategy. The clipping had pictures of families who've won prizes. It's a chinese newspaper. I tried to read what I could but then I was told I won 1.5 million ringgit and she listed down all the things I've won including a Toyota Altis, a Waja and a whole lot of other stuff. Jung was so excited but I had my doubts. But I listened to her nevertheless. While she was talking I looked at the list. An Altis, a Waja, a Kancil, an Apple desktop, DVD player, a bunch of other things and cash prizes. These things don't even come close to half a million in total. I was tempted to call her bluff but decided to play along.

Her hands were shaking as she was jotting down their office address where I was supposed to go over and have my picture taken with whatever I've won. I continued to watch her charade and listened patiently waiting for the catch. And there it was, I was to pay a deposit of RM3000++ in order for me to claim my prizes on Monday. I told her I didn't have that kind of money. And she asked if I could withdraw it, I said no. She desperately wanted to know how much I had on me now and I said about a hundred ringgit. She said that a hundred ringgit would do for now and I could pay the rest later. I explained that that hundred was for a school book I needed to buy tomorrow and I can't use it. Her eyes opened wide and she said "But this is once in a lifetime, a book can buy another time!" I just smiled at her while she tried again, "How bout just 50?" I said I'm sorry but I can't pay her anything today, that I have to buy my book tomorrow. She countered and said I could get the money for the book tomorrow from my parents and I said no. Leo came out halfway with this really skeptical look on his face. "I'm humouring her" I told him.

She was going to go on but I stopped her and said thank you but the book I really need, as for these things it doesn't make much of a difference to me if I have them or not. I apologized for wasting her time and showed her to the door.

When the door closed Jung said "Hey she took the Carrefour discount vouchers back."

A million degrees away.

I think 80% of the people in my life see me as a failure of some sort. The other 20% I would come to meet in the future. My sisters Joyce and Esther, along with both my parents are not included in this 100% because they are my life and I theirs. This 80% see only two or three I don’t know, divisions of me, all of which they believe require some form modification for the better or for an “improved lifestyle.” They say "Oh Stella has so much potential, if only she does/doesn't..." Who doesn't have potential? Who shouldn't have dos or donts? The choices I've made so far, good or bad, has made part of me. And if I'm any worse than the next person, so be it. I am human.

We are made up of our choices, I suppose. But there are many things beyond choice. I used to be bullshit-intolerant. I had very few friends and a whole lot of angst. Now I've chosen to practice tolerance and come to accept that there will always be more of those whom with I would not see eye to eye. In fact, there more people there are out there who disagrees with me, the better. Shows that I don't go "Baa." Although.. some things don't change; I don't have swarms friends but the few that I can call a friend will undoubtedly be more than enough.

Anyway I watched V for Vendetta last night. I can't remember who it was who told me I'd like it but he was right. So disturbing, I sat and thought about it for half an hour after and still felt the chills. Khai Lee told me I'd like Syriana and I've yet so watch that so I must find the DVD. And I NEED The Motorcycle Diaries. I need a lot of things, if only I want them enough.

An eye for an eye.

When Joey first told me my right eye was red I shrugged it off as mild irritation because we were sitting next to a satay stall.
Then Pek San came. And he told me it was red too.

Then Ham confirmed it was because he could name the symptoms I was feeling.
Shit.

I went to the doctor the next day. The worst is confirmed, its conjungtivitis.
I sent a text message to my dad about it and first reply was "Use the medicine as prescribed. Take care." But then another one came in.. "Come back only when you're thoroughly cured"

Of all the mean and sad things to say to your first born!

Drunk but white o.O

Pek San came back from San Francisco and Sukah, Jonie and Cindy from Melbourne. These people are damn smart. I really don't know how you score straight As for SPM/O levels AND A-levels AND be studying medicine and yet, drink as much as you do.

These pictures was taken at the beginning of this year but I only just got them off Pek San's laptop last night. Wah I damn the drunk. Didn't even remember feeling drunk so must really be drunk. Stupid alcohol. Alcohol sucks. Unless its whiskey. And why why why my make up so the white one?? Beginner at the time, dunno how to use. Clever go use other people's foundation cause I didn't have my own yet. OMG sounding so bimbo. Becoming like Mel.

Pek San, Stel, Su Kah.
Jonie, Cindy and me.
Quite nice lor my tatt :D

Macho macho me.

I met with Li Shan today who was my classmate back in A-levels. She told me about this one incident I had with poo. I laughed like a mad woman. The story's not pretty.

*knock knock*
Boo: Good Morning Miss, may I speak with Bliss? Just for a while. (in a pleasant tone)
Li Shan comes out of class.

Boo: BLISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! HELPPPP!!!!
Li Shan: What?? What happened??
Boo: Look at my shoe!!! I stepped on shit!!
Li Shan: So? -_-
Boo: It's human shit!!!
Li Shan: What! Okay calm down let me se- EEYERRRR you stepped on shit!! Human shit!! YUCKKKKK!!
Boo: Help meeee help meee.

We got 2 packets of tissues and because I was wearing sneakers I had to fold it till it had a sharp edge and scrape it off the ridges under my cons.
Then I thrusted it into her face. LOOOKKK!!!

EWWWWWW.
I wasw henceforth known as the girl who stepped on human shit.
If I knew who the stupid bitch was who could shit on the floor outside of the cubicle, I'd slap her senseless I'm so serious. What kind of sick stunt were you trying to pull? Trying to duckie walk to the sink to wash your ass off is it. WHAT THE FUCK WEY.
I would have tossed the pair of shoes if it was any other pair but this one was too precious. My first pair of plain black cons. They were at least 4 years old. If I was wearing my second pair I would have dumped it and walked around barefoot.

But I think I handled the situation well. Any other girl would have cried and gone home. I'm macho like that.

This was after the Revelation at PD last year. When this picture was taken we were at a mamak nearby. It was approximately 7am after a whole night of sweating our bikinis off. After eating we went back to the penthouse to drink till 11am. Those days can party till dawn. Last week at Maison when it was 1am I was already asking Pek San if we can leave and go eat. And then I sulked till we did :D

Don't tell me without certain "fuels" I can't function outdoors.

The body and the mind are two tricky bastards.

Ink my soul.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Good kinda hectic.

Lunch with the technicolor was to be at 1.30pm.
Joey got here at 2 and we got to Little Sai Gon at 2.45. *sheepish* Jam mar.
I had the Prawn Toast which was fricking awesome.
Everyone got their Awesome Twosome wedding invitations.
I wish I had a picture of it. And more time with them.
After lunch we left to Coffee Bean Mont Kiara.

Where Khai Lee picked me up at 3.45pm to meet Rachel and Jon at The Curve to watch S'kali but it wasn't showing.
So we went to Tribeca to yak about random everythings.
That's when I found out I was affiliated to the Rhino.

At 7 Rachel and I left to pick her mom up from Tropicana.
Rachel's mom revealed her delight in Ice Age 2, especially the part about how pissed the squirrel was when Sid woke him up just as he was getting to the Giant Acorn.
And then we both found out we loveee Boston Legal (Denny Crane..) and she told me the history of how it spun from The Practice to Boston, to Boston Legal.
We drove half an hour to Bukit something Rahman where her brother Russell had tuition.
We got to 1utama at 8pm.

Scott joined us at 8.15 at Chillis.
I dare say everyone overate.
Walking with our tummies sucked in, Scott, Rachel and I went to the car and picked Peish up and headed back to the Curve to meet Jon and Pek San to support Khai Lee's erm Laundry Hiphop thing.

What support. We found out that we had to pay RM25 as cover and immediately told Khai Lee we were gonna spend that money on drinks instead. He joined us half an hour later.
I've not been to Laundry so far because well in one of my earlier posts, I was extremely annoyed with the manager there who was extremely extremely rude to my sister's friends who were there.
Not being any moral values is fucked up enough. But asking a bunch of kids to "fuck off because i don't need your ice lemon tea and coke business", I would have slapped the fucker. Not because he was insulting them, but also because he was insulting himself. How stupid can one grown man be I really don't understand.
I told Khai Lee I'm sorry but I will not step foot into Laundry because of this. I'm a pain like that.
He said he spoke to the owner and she said she would compensate them.
I thought that was really sweet (and ethical, unlike her manager).
But no, we didn't end up there either.
We went to Fridays (hehehehehehehehehehehe)
I so cannot drink. I was red and drunk from one Electric Lemonade and 4 gulps of Long Island tea.

I had good company all day. I came home feeling really happy. And now..I'm going to sleep happy.

This writing style is so unlike me. Probably cause I have a headacahe from all that alcohol and my bed is calling me all sorts of sweet pet names.

My oldest buddy, Jonnums. We were reliving Standard 3, where he tried to slash me with a blade.

My brother Pek San. He has saved my life countless times and therefore, I can't imagine life without him.

Scotty and Hobbes. I love them both to death.

Rachel, Calvin & Peish. They were missing Krystina. If you're reading this Krys, you should have been here =)

<3

Return of the Hobbes.

Rachel's back! *dances around*

Gila time!

Hobbes: I'm coming to get you! Dress up!
Calvin: Are we going to some yuppie place? I don't like wei!
Hobbes: Nolah! Cause I'M dressed up nice.

How did he know..

After the "Freedom Party" last night where I was Queen and my loyal subjects were Tyler, Aran, Mervyn, Joachim and Enzo. Actually subjects wouldnt be a very good word since Aran wasn't being cooperative at first. But remember folks, Round 2 = The Rematch (Fight the ___!) of the Freedom Party will be held at the end of November. If some people *ahem are still "free" at the time.

So I came home and rang the doorbell and instead of the usual bubbly and gurgly Yang running and yelping "Da Jie! Da Jie!", I was greeted by a grumpy boy who was rubbing his eyes and saying "Da Jie..I'm sick la.."

I picked him up, swung him to me and we spent the next four hours together, coloring, cracking jokes and cuddling. One of the hours were spent in front of the computer and Yang cilmbed onto the sofa next to me. Usually he would listen to whatever I'm listening and bob his head to the beat OR when the Ramones come on he would headbang and shriek in excitement while trying to climb up onto my lap. Today he had a song request "Da Jie, Chicken Little song!!" So I played One little slip by the Barenaked Ladies for him. He knew all the words, I didn't know any.

Later we sat in silence.

He scooched over to me, put his arms around my neck and asked "Da Jie, are you sad?"

"No, I'm just unhappy."

He looked at me for what I felt was a long time. I saw tears in his huge eyes threatening to overflow and as I move to speak, he wails. And he wails. And he cries. And he sobs. And he heaves. He lies face flat on the floor and wails this bloodcurdling song. And he screams. Kicks. "Da Jie NO SAD!" He was bawling. And choking on his tears. When he was done, he crept over to his blankie and went to sleep, tears in his eyes.

Jumping on the bandwagon.

I finally saw something on YouTube worth posting.
Most would find this disgraceful and childish.
But I found it refreshing!

Click!

Fragments Part I.

How did Boys II Men's End of the Road infiltrate my playlist??

I miss listening to my dad sing along softly to Tears in Heaven.

I want my books back. I need my books back.

My dad finished The Da Vinci Code and passed it to me. Traitor. Frankly, I am mildly suprised that I can't get past 30 pages. After months and months of refusing to read the book and declining the movie (waiting for the right time to read/watch it), it really isn't as provoking as I expected it to be. I wasn't glued to it like I thought I would be. Like Aran, except he expected it, it was boring. Maybe that's why we both can't see what others can in those erm colorful blurry pictures you're supposed to stare at and relax the eyes to see what pops out. Nothing ever pops out for us.

How many fingers do I really have.

My Dude Ranch CD case is broken, when I saw it I felt strangely better than I was before.

When I watched Batman & Robin again this year, I thought it was really funny how I thought it was really cool the first time I saw it almost a decade ago. I watched the whole thing thinking "How did I fall for this crap?!" laughing by myself. And then I felt kinda sad, I wish I could still fall for crap.

Do I fall for crap?

If I hear another metaphor, I'll kill the messenger.

When was the last time I slept?

Please never worked when I was a child begging for another hour with my book at bedtime. Why should my relentless pleading work now? What am I really begging for? A beggar almost only gets scraps, because he doesnt have the luxury of choice. But I know I do. I know the choice is mine, hell life has been all about choices, paths and decision-making. So, again, what am I really begging for? When all my pleading falls on similarly broken heart.

If no one's gonna sing it to me, I'll sing it to myself.
"Don't you cryyyYYYYyyy tonight, there's a heaven above you baybehhhhHHHHHH.."

Don't give me anything breakable, cause I'll do to it what its intended for.

The last time I cried must be a week or so ago, and everytime the sky changes a shade, I wonder if that was the last time I would feel tears go down my cheeks, betraying all fronts of bravery and strength.

So now I heave and the anticipated flood doesn't come as I exhale, am I now brave and strong?

Have you ever seen a toddler so cute you feel like biting him/her? Ever felt that the thought is a little wrong? That's how I feel. A little wrong.

Disjointed.

It was cold.

Red. The others do it to feel alive, I slid it as a reminder that the choice to die is mine. I have no control over everything else but this. I am not allowed to cry, my tear ducts cannot function. It's too cold, 7 in the evening with 2 jackets on and I am shivering as if Hell froze over. I am clambering with this defect, my internal organs in a twist.

As it dripped the area felt warm and Hell struck a chord. I am bound by this fear, and torn between the eternal fire and the temporary death here in this 2nd hell and yet I want God to accept me through His gates yet I wish I never knew God and that Jesus never died on that cross so if I'm doomed, I'm doomed.. and I'm free to kick the chair from under me.

So I'm wrong. I don't have a choice. I want so badly to be off this "hook", to be free of this belief and this awful relationship with the Trinity. I've never believed in Karma and have never relied on it to get by. If Man is to hold to this and save himself, I believe him a fool. Having said this, Christianity is cruel but its never meant to offer temporary comfort(s) (the belief in Karma is a form of temporary comfort). As bizzare as this is to Man, Christianity is to save us from the cruel as this Earth is.

Holding whats left of my freezing and pulsing heart I can't begin to wonder what could be tomorrow, or what could become the day after but what simply is. I will continue to desire the unrealistic and absurd because I will continue to feel what the mind fails to articulate. The words of those who loves my empty shell echos within my skull and I am ashamed and shattered to say that their love falls short of this grief.

I don't need a reason to love, however ill-equipped, I can cling on to love at the threat of my ceasing to love him as I am to just be. My justifications might be weak but the fact is that unrequited love is unjustifiable. Just as how he keeps pushing me away and my heart is tearing and at the same time, is able to continue to love him. This is my only comfort, that I am able to love the unjustifiable.

Which is superior? To know why you love, or to love?

I'm sorry, I'm incoherent. My thoughts, as my heart and soul, are in fragments.

Big booms!

I heard fireworks go off a while ago. I ran out and I was squealing like a kid watching them. (I don't normally squeal, I'm not one of those girly girls)

They were HUGE. Much bigger than the ones in KL because these ones were quite low. They lit up the whole east region of the Sunway sky. We almost went up to Genting because there was fireworks there too but I'm glad I didn't. These ones I'm sure were way cooler, they were so close at one point I thought they were coming right at me. And no, I wasn't on anything.

Anyway,

I BE DANCING.

Shower.

I was gonna write this under the previous post but decided it should be a post on its own. Because it's about something very special.

The 1st of September is a very special day, thats when a very special person was born. She is the manager of the Technicolor band, also known as the Good Witch of the North. Oh oh! She's part of the Awesome Twosome!

So on 2nd September its her birthday celebration as well as..

HER BRIDAL SHOWER! *WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Okay erm gotta go wash my oily fingers, just had another 1/2 can of luncheon meat.

Kang-kung belacan.

Looks like next week is gonna be a busy outing week. I rarely have busy outings week so..

Alex and the others are coming down from Brunei on Monday. On Merdeka Day 12 of us will be having dinner at Seri Angsaka, KL Tower which should be good if I didn't go for the buffet. Cannot make it the buffet. But must convince Ham to take the buffet so I can snake food of his muthafucking plane of a plate :D

On Thursday night we're going to Maison for Alvin's MONSTAA (in his own words) gig. Hip hop don't stop! Jung will be going nuts. I asked Aran to help me book a table and he told me that there were 2 kinds I would want. The VVIP area where the tables on the balcony or the VIP area which is actually more comfortable cause its the sofa area (What sofa, looks more like bed to me). The VVIP..can see everything from up there but then I was thinking, everyone can see you also. Which is NOT good cause this is what happens when my friendly friends from Brunei goes nuts.

Aran said Joachim gave us a table with "COLD aircond and central location". With hindsight, anywhere away from the balcony and the public eye would be ideal. Monkeys. Had to wear their shirts back for them you know. Joanna and I were standing aside staring at the pandemonium, horrified and desperately wanting to go home.

The Chronicles of Fat.

I’ve been having a detrimental dependence on luncheon meat since yesterday. Not Spam, not Tulip but the old school orange and light blue can one. Ham made half a can for dinner yesterday and I’ve been hooked since. Two hours after dinner an invisible rope with a noose around my neck tugged me toward to the refrigerator and gleefully I took out the rest of the luncheon meat, sliced them thinly with tender loving care and proceeded to fry them to perfection.

See Ham has this way of making them that they are crunchy but not too crunchy to lose its flavor and absolutely scrumptious.

My first try wasn’t much of a success but it’ll do. Not as crunchy as I would like, a bit squishy in the middle. I grumbled about it and he said “Maybe you didn’t fry them long enough.”

Past midnight, the longing returned. I couldn’t get enough of them salty bastards. I opened another can and sliced half the can. Soon my hair and hands were greasy and my face, well, my face could be the next priority on Bush’s list. But I couldn’t care less. There isn’t anything else as blissful as having good food in your mouth and a good book in your hands. (After cradling a baby of course)

When I got home from class today I felt compelled to fry the leftover luncheon meat in the fridge. I felt I had to, or the world would come to an end. What to do, the fate of the world in my hands, of course sacrifice and eat la right.

Again I carefully sliced them thin and determined to get it right this time I left them in the oil longer than usual. When they were really brown and crispy looking, I removed them from the oil and waited three seconds for them to cool.

*crunch*

Oh my goodness.. it tasted like pure salt, with a dash of sawdust and a pinch of ash. It didn’t lose its flavor; it took on a complete new one. It wasn’t crunchy or crispy, it was burnt. It was metallic on the tongue and gelatinous down the throat. Deep-fried salted floorboards anyone?

Still, had to save the world, so I finished all ten slices like the good girl I am.

Biological lock.

I went to bed at 4am and was gonna get up at 9am for my 10am class. (Eh my drive to Cyberjaya takes at least 20minutes in the jam). But these days I feel my eyes open at 8.30am and realize I have half an hour more to sleep so I just lay there in bed day-dreaming. See usually, when I'm sleeping in Ham's room I'd sleep for much longer than I'm used to. I could sleep up to 8 hours!
The old routine of little sleep kicks in because for the past week, Ham and Nigel has been camped downstairs making good friends with Kung Lau and erm Kong Pow hehe (i think), the characters from Mortal Combat. So I've been sleeping alone. Sleeping alone means going to sleep at 4am and waking up automatically 4 hours later, much like my pre-Ham life.

Anyway, Ham comes into the room at 8am saying "I don't think you can go to school today, Nigel went home with the car." Then he slept next to me. As a result, I slept till 2pm. That's 10 freaking hours of sleep! Now I'm cranky and I feel terrible. My joints are aching and my back hurts. Sleep is bad for health, well my health, and a waste of time. Hmph.

The past 2 weeks before this one, I was suffering from severe gastric and heartburn. I keep eating and eating and stuffing my face each time hoping the gastric wouldn't strike but it does. It wears me out, the sharp pains can be excruciating sometimes and I curl up in a fetal position on the bed and grimace myself to sleep in the afternoons. My dad gave me an assortment of meds and I swallowed them religiously. But nothing would curb the pain. It was horrible. I would sweat from that dull ache, sometimes feel as if I couldn't breathe. Plus I keep burping. All that gas! Thank goodness it wasn't coming out the other end. I kept thinking of this one line from Chaucer's The Pardoner's Prologue and Tale.
But I'm all better now. No pain at all! But the fear for it is still causing me to eat everything in sight.

All hail the small boar!

Self-conclusion.

I dragged myself out of bed at 9.15 for my 10am class.
This class was to be from 10 to 4 with an hour break at noon.
I trudged up the stairs to the 2nd floor and searched for Tutorial 5. Empty.
I crawled up to the 3rd floor and looked high and low for hopefully, another Tutorial 5.
I rounded the block thrice.

Then I crossed 3 blocks to the Faculty to see if maybe this really was another unfortuntate day in this hell-hole.
No changes. I called my lecturer's extention. He's not in. Shit he must be in class and I was half an hour late. Given, he isn't the brightest lecturer but he has always been really nice and I wanted to be punctual for his classes.

I walked back 3 blocks and searched for the class again. The usual students crowding around the smoking area looked on as I passed them huffing and puffing for the 5th time. Sweating like a small pig I stood inside the empty classroom for a full minute seething and wanting to kill someone.

Feeling dejected I gave up and drove Jung and Nina home to our apartment.
I had my lunch and we headed back to school.

I walked up the same wretched stairs to the same wretched class and it's still empty. Desperate I walked back to the Faculty my flip flops flapping hard against the cement. I called my lecturer's extention again and was told he was on leave.

I then walked back to Jung's table. An anonymous person has left a comment on her entry, the one where she mentioned gaining weight. The comment said "hehe..fatty."
Jung: Who the fuck is this?!
Laboo: I came to this hell-hole for nothing. No class from 10 to 4. I could have slept in, went for lunch with ham and Nigel and came at 4. I want to jump off the top floor.
Jung: Come we go together, someone called me a fatty.

But I've walked so much today I've merit myself 1000 Happy Meals and if I see another flight of stairs I might just shoot someone.

Random attempt at a post.

My stay back in Cyber was refreshing. The past months I’ve been living in a house where I’m the only girl with 3 other boys (4 if you count Nigel) so having 6 girls all at once in one apartment was oddly fun. Actually it’s three on the 7th floor and another three of us on the 3rd floor.

We were sitting around in the master and it so happens, Ning, Mal and Ana can do uncanny impersonations of bimbos. It was freaking funny. I was on Jung’s laptop where suddenly they burst into song.

“Here we go, here we go againnnn. You’re telling meeeeeee..that she’s just a friendddddd. But she calls you at threeeee in the morninnnnnnn”
And they would do it in erm mismatched harmony.

“Eh ma gawd guys, I just wanna like, put my shades on and like, walk around. Maybe like, go in the pool or like something. Yuh of course like with ma shades on.”
“Loves it!”
Jung was trying to order Nando’s but the rest was busy singing yet another round of “Here we go, here we go again.”

Jung: Attention please!
Ning: Extention? Did someone say hair extention? That’s hot.
It would go on for another 10 minutes before Ning says “This is tiring..”
And then they all fall asleep for two hours -_-

Damn Jealous.

Rachel's flying to Perth this Wednesday to be with Mel.

I wanna go be with Mel too!! :(
She needs me :(

I need them :(

Cloud 11.

We were all over the place. Like our mixers there were different colors, different tastes evolving from different parts of the world. There is not much to say about this night, but there was too much to see. I'm still recovering from the the overwhelming blast.

Soong-guy Wang.

"Me and my boyfriend" hardeeharhar.

Alex and Ian, nutcases.

I almost forgot how good the food is at that chinese place in front of Sungei Wang. Daffy Duck! Donald Duck! The Ugly Duckling! All Ducks go to Heaven. You are all goddamn yummy! I want to eat there again tomorrow. A whole duck for myself. Ham made me weigh myself last night and I'm an astonishing 48kgs! Plus I'm only 5 feet tall so I'm fucking fat! And I'm loving life!

Nostalgia.

I have no idea why Ham is doing that.
This is Sam. She can watch any horror flick, without flinching once. Respect!
Boohaha!
Meet my friend Alex!
Frankie and I go way back. If I was ever around Sungei Wang I'd drop by his shop and we'd spend hours talking, well, gossiping. He's the only person I gossip with. He somehow justifies it. I don't know why but when we do start talking, we could talk about the clouds in the sky to the pavements in New York City.

Three of my friends, Ian, Alex and Khai wanted to get tattoos done so naturally I took them to Frankie. Frankly, it's not really Zoo Body Art that I frequent. It's only to Frankie for piercings and Tiger(ich) for tattoos. Tiger's wife Beth is the sweetest thing. She asked if I wanted her to hold my hand during my phoenix job. Tiger's the only tattoo artist I know who doesn't have any tattoos at all. He's awesome! He hasn't been back in Malaysia for the past year or so and I've been waiting that long to add on my current tatts.
Anyway I'm chilling in Concorde and I wish the Technicolor Gang was here with me :(

Blessings.

I have a good handful who would eat durians with me on a bright Sunday morning. (Ty this includes you)
Click to listen to my happy song of the week. Prancing around the room in boxers (which aren't mine) has never felt this invigorating. Or maybe I'm in need of a good swim.

My favourite things.

These are some of my favourite things.

These are two of my favourite people. If I was Calvin and she was Hobbes. He would be Susie. Fuck off Susie! And he did. Last night. Suprisingly enough, I shed a tear. The only other person who loves Boston Legal as much as I do. No one else can say "Abang!" and "Bye!" as well as he can.

Dirty laundry.

I'd just read Elle's blog and was reminded about this bar in The Curve, Laundry. I first heard of it last year when Khai Lee and his friend Yuri (together known as Project Bazooka or Bazooka Project. I'm not sure, we spent a good half an hour debating about and I definitely preferred the latter.) I'm a horrible friend and never made it there to any of their open mic shows :( Sorry Khai Lee, but you're always in and out of the country I can't keep track!

I hate to say this, but I'm glad I didn't. Despite the hooha about the place, I've heard two horrifying accounts of peoples' visits there and it's enough for me never to step foot in the place. A group of younger boys and girls, a group of 10 probably were there and asked for another table because duh, how can you fit 10 on a small table. And frankly they thought they would merit another table without any hesitations as a few of them have had worked for the same manager at that Italiannies, One Utama. Instead that same manager said "Why don't you all just fuck off! You all are only 18, I don't want your ice lemon tea and coke business!" And when they told the owner she somehow dismissed them.

Niama. Now these people aren't even my own friends but that's besides that point. What kind of fucked up ethics is that.

To my friends who goes there :) I love you all, so no offence. Don't invite me if you're going. Until that specific person is fired from that place, God knows what I would say when I'm there.
